Parent Coordination
The goal of co-parenting at our agency is to help parents who are living separately, work together in the best interest of their children. The focus of treatment will be on helping parents to work cooperatively. It has been our experience that co-parenting process works best when the parents understand the process and what we have to offer.

- Generally, we work within the stipulation that parents and their lawyers have developed
- We are not authorized to change a stipulation
- We can facilitate compromise when necessary
- We can provide assistance for parents in making joint decisions in the best interest of children, within the terms of the custodial agreement
- Co-parenting is very much a "here and now" process, and targets specific parenting issues
- Co-parenting does not focus upon the history of the relationship between the parents
- Decisions are made using the stipulation or custodial agreement as a standard
- The content of the therapy sessions (ex. discussion, comments, differences of opinion, etc.) will not be shared with the Court
